Wonderwerk Como la Flor is a collaborative creation with Andrea Jaramillo of Mas Vino Please, celebrating Latinidad through a unique red blend. The 2023 vintage comprises 40% Montepulciano from Contra Costa AVA, 20% Grenache from Lodi and Madera AVAs, 15% Malbec from Madera AVA, 15% Tempranillo from Alta Mesa AVA, and 10% Mencia from Lodi AVA. Each varietal undergoes separate fermentation on skins for 1-2 weeks, with twice-daily punch-downs or pump-overs; notably, the Montepulciano is fermented using carbonic maceration. The wine is aged in neutral oak for seven months and infused with steam-distilled organic rose geranium hydrosol, imparting a distinctive floral aroma.
